Irrational Thoughts

If you are driving the irrational thoughts bus today, all roads are closed. Your irrational thoughts will not be driving today. ⁣⁣
What is an irrational thought? ⁣⁣
It’s the thought that runs through your head and sounds a little like this…⁣⁣
“That girl looked at me funny. She must hate me.”⁣⁣
“Scarlett didn’t text me back. She must be mad at me.”⁣⁣
“George didn’t say hi to me this morning. He doesn’t like me.” ⁣⁣
“I didn’t get the kids cupcakes baked in time for the holiday party. I’m a horrible mom.” ⁣⁣
The list could go on for days. ⁣⁣
Irrational thoughts are anything that you tell yourself that does not have any factual evidence. It’s the silly conversation you have with yourself that leads you down that dark alley road and stops at the intersection of anxiety and depression. ⁣⁣
Your thoughts are what cause your symptoms. Not the actual event. That girl looking at you funny did not give you anxiety. Your thoughts about that girl are what gave you anxiety. ⁣⁣
Change your thoughts and you WILL change your world!⁣⁣
