⁣
It’s time to befriend your anxiety. ⁣
⁣
What does that even look like? ⁣
⁣
It looks like: ⁣
⁣
✔️Not thinking you are dying when you experience physical symptoms. ⁣
⁣
✔️Not assuming impending doom is looming near. ⁣
⁣
✔️Recognizing anxiety is a hard wired response in your body designed to keep you safe. ⁣
⁣
✔️Leaning into what makes you anxious knowing that your symptoms won’t kill you. ⁣
⁣
✔️Belly breathing as you float through the waves of anxiety. ⁣
⁣
✔️Acknowledging your anxiety and giving your amygdala an opportunity to learn. ⁣
⁣
✔️Changing your thoughts to be less anxiety provoking. ⁣
⁣
If you found this helpful, be sure to share it with your anxious buddies. ⁣

Instagram post 2192365556904976332_8793060883 When it comes to anxiety, you have to find the happy balance between being anxiety free and anxiety controlling your life. ⁣
⁣
To be anxiety free is an unrealistic goal that frankly you don’t want. Anxiety serves as a source of protection. It’s your internal alarm alerting you to potential danger. It’s the activation of your fight-flight-freeze response that prepares your body to respond. Without anxiety, you’d be in trouble when danger really was present. ⁣
⁣
When anxiety becomes a problem is when your amygdala becomes hypersensitive and activates when no danger is present. ⁣
⁣
With hard work and time, you can find the balance between the two, and come to a place in life where you coexist peacefully with your anxiety. ⁣
⁣
Long story short, redefine your goals with anxiety and find your happy medium between both extremes. When you recognize that anxiety is a hardwired response in your body, you begin to feel less weak or crazy for feeling anxious. 💛⁣
⁣
DROP A 🙋🏻‍♀️ IF YOU’RE READY TO COEXIST PEACEFULLY WITH ANXIETY. ⁣

Instagram post 2190843262847994828_8793060883 Managing anxiety just might be one of the hardest jobs out there. ⁣
⁣
✔️It takes daily mindfulness to become aware of your intrusive thoughts. ⁣
⁣
✔️It takes daily implementation of skills to master breath work. ⁣
⁣
✔️It takes awareness to be able to identify when dysfunctional thinking is steering your ship. ⁣
⁣
✔️It takes time to identify your triggers. ⁣
⁣
✔️Most importantly it takes action! ⁣
⁣
Babe Ruth didn’t walk onto the field hitting home runs, and neither will you when it comes to managing anxiety. ⚾️ ⁣
⁣
Give yourself grace, practice your skills daily, and in time you’ll be managing your anxiety like a champ. ⁣
⁣
DROP A 🏆 BELOW IF YOU’RE READY TO BE THE MVP OF YOUR LIFE. ⁣

Instagram post 2189335202665216360_8793060883 I keep seeing posts all over Instagram that mention switching from everyday anxiety to sparkly holiday anxiety, and friends let me tell you, it doesn’t have to be that way. 🎅🏻 ⁣
⁣
You don’t have to spend your holidays an anxious mess. 🎄 ⁣
⁣
It saddens me to think that so many women, and men, struggle with anxiety through the holidays. Setting unrealistic expectations of what the perfect holiday should or shouldn’t look like. Purchasing the perfect gifts that are outside your budget or even having to spend time confined in a home with family members who lack healthy boundaries. ☃️ ⁣
⁣
Does the thought of small talk send you over the edge? ⁣
⁣
If you’re screaming “Yup,” these statements are for you! ⁣
⁣
Your thoughts and worries feed the fire of anxiety, and I’d imagine your thoughts are probably running wild this time of year. ⁣
⁣
The goal with anxiety coping statements isn’t to reduce anxiety when you feel anxious, but to prevent feeling anxious in the first place. By switching your thoughts to something more positive, you reduce the likelihood of your thoughts igniting your anxiety response.⁣
⁣
It’s time to take back your holidays! ⁣
⁣
Practice these statements everyday, throughout your day, to help preventive worrisome thoughts. ⁣
⁣
Found this helpful, be sure to share it with an anxious buddy! 👯‍♀️⁣

Instagram post 2188646697639274444_8793060883 Are you simply going through the motions of life but not truly being present for it?⁣
⁣
To survive in life merely means to exist. To be a breathing body, on a large rock, floating through space. Surviving is choosing the road of least resistance, engaging in dysfunctional thinking, feeling stuck, lacking passion, and purpose.⁣
⁣
You’re probably stressed out, burnt out, and exhausted. Your heart and soul lacking peace and joy, and you navigate through life, feeling hopeless. ⁣
⁣
So what does it look like to show up for your life? ⁣
⁣
To thrive in life is to live your life with intention and purpose, to be an active participant — thriving means growing mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. You aren't caught up in the rat race of life wishing for a future date to arrive. You are present. Your heart and soul are calm and at peace. ⁣

Instagram post 2187885422126789112_8793060883 Life is to short to allow fear of other people's judgments to hold you back from showing up in life how you want. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
No one knows what it feels like to be you. To walk in your shoes on the path that was given to you. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Remember, people project what they don't like about themself.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Their judgments come from a place of fear and regret, regret for never having the courage to be so courageous. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The day I stopped caring about what others thought of me was the day I truly started to live. Recognizing that other's opinions and judgments were not about me, but all about them was a game-changer. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The next time you hold back from showing up as your courageous, authentic self, hear me whispering these words to you: "𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘥𝘨𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴. 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦'𝘴. 𝘖𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶." ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Share this with a courageous friend so they too can stop living in fear of other's judgments. 👯‍♀️⁣⁣

Instagram post 2186426826419500260_8793060883 Double tap the photo if you struggle with big emotions and don’t know why? ⁣
⁣
The next time you’re hit with a tidal wave of emotions, check in with your thoughts. Your thoughts are 100% responsible for all those big (or little) emotions you feel.⁣
⁣
Don’t believe me? Ask yourself this:⁣
⁣
Why do people have different reactions to the exact same situation? ⁣
⁣
We have different reactions because emotions are a result of how we interpret a situation or event. They are not due to the situation or event itself. ⁣
⁣
The next time you say, “He makes me so mad,” remember no one has power to control your emotions other than you. Your emotional response was a result of your interpretation of the fella’s actions. Make sense?!?⁣
⁣
If you’re ready to take back control of your emotions, be sure to snag my freebie “10 Ways You Are Making Yourself Miserable” in my bio. 🚨 ⁣
⁣
It’s a workbook that’ll walk you through the 10 most common cognitive distortions that leave you feeling miserable. 💛⁣
