Practicing Gratitude

It is the month of thankfulness, so how about a gratitude post for you all. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Gratitude is the state of being thankful. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

When you practice gratitude, you invite joy into your life, you become more aware of what you have, and you slow down and really become thankful for the joyful moments in your life. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Keep in mind, practicing gratitude is more than the “attitude” of gratitude and the feeling of being thankful. It’s a tangible gratitude practice. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

If you want to live your life from a place of gratitude and joy, you have to look at the things getting in the way of gratitude and joy. As Brene Brown (whom I adore) puts it, “We’re a nation hungry for more joy: Because we’re starving from a lack of gratitude.” ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

How do you fill up on gratitude? What does gratitude practice look like for you? ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Do you write in a gratitude journal?⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Do you do daily gratitude meditation or prayers? ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Do you create gratitude art? ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Do you stop and pause through out the day and say out loud, “I am grateful for…”⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Do you go around your family dinner table every night and have each person say what they are grateful for? ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

I’d love to hear how you all practice gratitude.
