How To Manifest The Life You Want

Do you want to make 2020 the year you take back control of your life? The year you get out of your head and back into your life? Are you ready to manifest the life you want? Are you tired of sitting in the waiting room of your life, watching it quickly pass you by? If you are jumping up and down screaming, “Yes,” then friend, you’re in the right place.

I believe with every ounce of my being that you can cultivate the life you want. Through detailed thoughts, fierce beliefs, and consistent action, you can manifest your best life. As we march into a new year, a fresh decade, I thought what better way to set our intentions than to create a vision board for 2020.

Items Needed

  • A quiet, relaxing space to allow your mind some time to imagine in vivid detail your 2020 self
  • Magazines, Pinterest, newspapers, google, pictures, etc.
  • Scotch tape, washi tape, thumbtacks, scissors, glue stick, paper, pen
  • Something to place your 2020 visions on, whether that be a piece of paper or a corkboard – sky is the limit so get creative
  • If music inspires you, bust out your best jams while designing your board
  • A candle is also a great addition to help you relax

Visual Your Best Life

Below you will find prompts to help you visualize your 2020 self. I want you to answer these questions as if you are already showing up as your future self. As if you have already accomplished your biggest goals.

Use verbiage such as, “I feel” and “I am.” There is no time for “I want,” “I hope,” or “When I.” In this exercise, you are already living the life you so desperately wish to be living. Want to be healthy, happy, and confident? Then say to yourself, “I am healthy and happy. I am the most confident person I know. ”

Make sense? Alright, let's get to it.

Go ahead and use the questions below to help guide you through your visualization. I want you to imagine your best life in vivid detail. Find a quiet, relaxing space, and close your eyes. Get laser-focused on how you show up in 2020. Dream big! There is no space for judgment, self-doubt, or perfectionism here. It's just you and your wild imagination.

Once you are finished visualizing, write out your answers. We will use these answers to create your vision board.

Power Of A Vision Board

If you’re still not convinced of the power of visualization and vision boards, hear me out for a sec. I’m a firm believer that whatever you focus on, you manifest into reality. When you become so intentional with your actions and thoughts, your world begins to change. Without visualization, how will you know what steps to take to manifest your best life? Without a constant reminder on your wall, how will you stay motivated?

Life is chaotic, and it’s easy to forget our goals and intentions. That’s why you need to let your inner girl run wild, get creative, and allow your adult self to show up as her best self.

So…

If you are officially on board, let’s get creating.

How To Create Your Vision Board

Snag your written answers to your prompts to help guide your vision board creation.

This is where the fun begins. Go ahead and bust out some magazines, clip out some images or phrases that speak to your visions, and get creating.

Don’t want to take the magazine route? You can use Google, Pinterest, or Instagram to help find pictures, words, quotes, or phrases that align with your vision.

Once you have a collection of your 2020 vision, you can tac them to a corkboard or tape them to a large sheet of paper. If you're more of a digital gal, you can create a Pinterest board or save a best life collection on Instagram (My only hangup with this is that I feel you lose the power of vision boards when you aren’t exposed to it throughout your day. I fear it’ll become an out of sight, out of mind dilemma).

Once you are all done, hang that best life board up in a location where you’ll see it every day. Let this board serve as a reminder to how you’ll show up in this new year. Let it guide your intentions and keep your goals at the forefront of your thoughts.

Show Me Your Vision Board

This is the part I'm most excited for.

Once you've completed your vision board, put that bad boy out into the universe. If you're feeling courageous, you can share it on whatever social media platform you like best. Be sure to tag me in your photo, so that I can share it with our courageous community. You can tag me with @courageously.u

Happy creating, friend!
