Lets talk self-care for a minute. What do you do to reset yourself mental, physically, and emotionally? What activities do you engage in that fill your soul? What do you do to take care of you? Do you even take care of you?
Self-care is any activity done deliberately to take care of your mental, physical, and emotional health. Self-care is what keeps you going through this chaotic life we live in. Taking care of you, is so crucial for good mental health, and let’s be honest, for your sanity.
For me, self-care is escaping the rat race of life and going to the mountains. I love being away from people, phones, traffic, and noise. I love the cool mornings and the beautiful sunsets. I love the smell of the trees and fresh huckleberries growing. I love being alone with my thoughts and having no agenda.
There is something about a weekend away that completely resets me and I love it.
